As an official sponsor of the NBA, Kia signed on rookie sensation Blake Griffin in 2010 to introduce their new mid-size sedan, the Optima. The campaign started with Blake dunking over an Optima to win the Slam Dunk competition that year. We discovered another hidden talent of his: deadpan humor. Over the next six years, Blake traveled through time in his Optima, partnered with 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer to persuade others to drive an Optima, extolled its virtues on movie sets and explained the unparalleled feeling of driving one.
